7. Drive your car until it holds a minimum amount of gas.
A quarter tank of gas will allow your transport car company to move your car onto their transport truck at its pickup point and then off again. Having more gas in your tank will mean the weight of your car is higher, which can increase the cost of transport car. Gas can also create a hazard for an car during the transport process.

8. Provide your transport car company with a complete set of keys to your car.
The driver will require access to your ignition, glove box, and car trunk. Make sure that you leave all these keys with your transporter to avoid their having difficulties should these situations arise.
